Play Dough
18th November - today we made play dough. Our cooks were Pearl, Joseph, Caris, Lola and Jevaun.
5 cups of flour
2.5 cups of salt
10 dessert spoons of oil
2 dessert spoons of cream of tartar
4 cups of hot water
food colouring
Mix all the ingredients together and add water gradually. Knead until ready. Play with it for a while after to make sure it lasts. Keep play dough in a tied plastic bag to ensure it does not dry out.

Chocolate Krispies
20th December - toady we made Chocolate Krispies. Our cooks were Xavier, Edward, Ellie, Georgio and Theo.
We melted chocolate, added some syrup and then mixed rice krispies. We filled cup cake cases and left them in a cool place to set.

20th January - today we made flapjacks. Our cooks were Ethan, Roveena, Milo, Eliza and Robbie.
8oz margarine
8 tablespoons syrup
4oz sugar
16oz rolled oats
8oz raisins
Melt the margarine and syrup together, add all the dry ingredients and mix together in a large bowl. Turn the mixture onto a greased tray and spread evenly. Cook in a medium oven for 30mins, leave to cool for 5 mins then cut into squares.

Mud Puddle drinks!!
Today we all made a mud puddle drink, we thought we would be like the meanies!!!
They tasted great!!

Chinese Stir Fry - Happy New Year!
Today, Friday 3rd February we made Chinese stir fry.
baby corn
pak choi
bean sprouts
soy sauce

We cut up all our veg and put it in a big pot and cooked it with a bit of soy sauce. We added the noodles at the end and gave it a big stir. The Chinese restaurant was set up and open for business, yum.

Jam Tarts
Today we made jam tarts, our cooks were Skye, Cleo, Matilda, Georgia and Gabriela

We rolled out the pastry using rolling pins, then cut out rounds and placed them in a bun tin. We filled each round with a teaspoon of jam, we used strawberry. We baked them in the oven for 15 mins.
They were delicious! We made loads - not just enough for one each, but 2 each. Lucky us.
